Hello coding community,

I hope this post finds you well. I'm reaching out today because I've encountered a challenge that I'm hoping some of you might be able to help me with. I've been creating a Mashup contest on Codeforces, and I'm looking to modify the default problem scores from zero to something more meaningful (in IOI Mode).

For those who may not know, a Mashup contest on Codeforces allows us to combine problems from various contests into a single event. This is an excellent way to curate a personalized challenge or practice session. However, by default, all problems in a Mashup are scored as zero, which doesn't accurately reflect the difficulty or importance of each problem. (I've included a screenshot in the attachment for your reference.)

I'm looking to change these default scores to better represent the effort and skill required for each problem. Here's what I've tried so far:

  1. Exploring the Contest Settings: I've gone through the contest settings, looking for any options to adjust the problem scores. However, I haven't found a clear way to modify them.
  2. Searching the Codeforces Help Center: I've scoured the Codeforces Help Center and forums, hoping to find a guide or tutorial on changing problem scores. Unfortunately, I haven't come across any relevant information.

I'm reaching out to you all now, hoping that someone might have experience with this issue and can point me in the right direction. Here are the specific questions I have:

  • Is it possible to change the problem scores in a Codeforces Mashup contest?
  • If so, what steps should I follow to modify these scores?
  • Are there any best practices or considerations when setting problem scores in a Mashup? I understand that scoring can significantly impact the contest experience for participants, and I want to ensure that the scores I set are fair and accurately reflect the problems' difficulty and importance.

If anyone has any insights, tips, or resources that could help me with this, I would be incredibly grateful. Your assistance would make a big difference in creating a more engaging and representative Mashup contest.

Thank you in advance for your help, and I look forward to any suggestions or guidance you can provide.

Best regards,

OIer_Cosmos
