I feel the problems are quite old like 7-8 years. Is it a better idea to solve recent problems?

Hi, I've just started practicing problems on Codeforces but I feel solving problems randomly here will get me trapped in the vicious cycle of solving too easy problems for too long. So is it a good idea to solve A, B and C problems of DIV2 everyday from this webdsite? and once I get comfortable with Bs and Cs, I can move on to Ds and Es.
Thanks :D
