Think for a while and after that get the tutorial,or see the tag and go on,or keep thinking until you are able to solve? But if you can't solve the problem no matter how long you think,is the time wasted? How to make efficient progress?

I cry myself to sleep.
Nothing much just have a mental breakdown
I read one of Um_nik's blog, he said something like if you are stuck on a problem, you should try it after a while (few days or weeks or months), cuz if you keep on trying you'll keep on thinking in the same way. So that's what I follow, if I'm stuck on a problem for like an hour or two, I move on and come back after a few days to give it a try.
To be honest I just look at the editorial (this is why I'm green)
Keep the problem in back of your mind and keep thinking and do some other things
Keep the problem in back of your mind until you find yourself stuck to same thing again and again
Or ...
...untill Luffy finds the One Piece
Roronoa is searching for one piece
I give it a break and try to solve next day or see the solution for approach and try to code.
