I loved the New Year's surprise from Codeforces team. There were really interesting ideas (handles) and it was quite fun (although it was a bit difficult to see all the changes).

I suggest we do the same with the member photos. This is possible because unlike TopCoder, here you can change your photo instantly and the requirements for it aren't that strict (for example see rng_58's). I imagine how every one or two months on a specific number of the month there is a certain question or theme and everyone has to change his/her photo (for a couple of days) as an answer to it.

Let's say the question is "What's your favourite food?" and everyone has to upload a photo of his favourite food. Well, I guess most of the photos would be some kind of stakes then. Some other questions like "What is the most beautiful place you have ever been to?" will be quite interesting also.

Do you like the idea? It will be fun for sure:)

Why there are a lot of empty messages from you?

It's because Codeforces sometimes has a strange reaction on messages which consists of some pasted text. They are suddenly disappeared and message becomes empty. I had already written about this bug several times.
Do not use copy-paste in your codeforces comments and messages!

hmm, might be a funny idea, now, who do you think will sit and gather around those funny questions for you? If someone is really interested to show others his/her favorite places / foods / or whatever else, can easily blog about that here.

I am stunned by the fact that the entire site is maintained and being updated by only one person. Because of his efforts the site keeps growing and growing with every single day. The last thing I want to do is to give him extra work.

But how much work from the admins is really needed to make this possible? We can choose the question in this way: the best rated (+/-) from the comments of a given blog post for this event. Everybody who wants can change his/her photo so we don't need admins help here. The only thing they can help with is by making the event a bit more official by putting the post in a more visible place.

PS. It took me a week or so to notice what your handle really means:D
