Um_nik is uploading his screencast of most rounds of Codeforces and Atcoder.

Since Um_nik said he is open to suggestion, I would request Um_nik to add some commentary . Basically, you speak up about your approach, do loud thinking. Please convey what do you think and how you build up to the solution?

This would cause so many benefits :
1. Your screencast becomes very interesting.
2. More people would watch your screencast.
3. People would be able to learn much more from you that way.
+ many more ...

Personally, after giving a round and up-solving I would really like to watch the approach of Um_nik, what his solution was, how he came up with that, and how he implementation.
But the current videos are just equivalent to just looking up your submission and give no further learning and insights.

I was thinking the same recently. I find most of his solutions clean during upsolving and would like to study from his approaches. A commentary will be cherry on top either during solving each problem for up to Div. 2 contests as it will be unrated for him because commentary takes time or at the end of the contest for all problems just like how orz does in his videos. Btw, his videos are great and hope to see more in future.

I honestly wonder why people watch screencasts, do you really learn stuff from them?

I've learned a couple of things from watching tourist/petr/endagorion's screencast of ICPC WF contests, so yeah.

Of course you're a div1 participant. I'm just wondering if div2 participants will really learn anything from watching the screencasts of top rated people, their thought process for the easier problems are usually straight to the point, and there isn't much to learn. Except you just want to watch the screencasts for fun.

I do screencasts with commentary for unrated contests when I feel like it. There is even a playlist with screencasts with commentary, it has 34 videos.

I will not do commentary for contests where I'm trying to win, because it would make me slower.

The issue is I don't feel like doing screencasts with commentary recently. Don't think you can do anything with that.

Maybe you can add the commentary later after the screencast at the end of the video. Kind of like brief ideas that helped you to reach the solution/

I will have to have sound turned on for the whole contest, maybe I can turn the mic off on the hardware side (the software I'm using asks me to choose whether to record audio before the start of recording). Plus I will have to write contests behind the table with a graphic tablet plugged in. Basically, making a video of this type requires much more work from my side, while for the screencast I just press a couple of buttons before the contest.

Yeah I get it. It does take a lot of effort. Maybe you can do something different once you are ready to fully focus on growing the channel. Anyways your screencasts are still good the way they are.
