Massive amount of cheaters found in codeforces round 867 (Div.3)

All of them submit solution after video published in youtube. Their solution/implementation is same as the video was leaked. Some of them just change language/variables. MikeMirzayanov , Una_Shem look into this issue and take action against them.

For cheaters, without giving downvotes give proof of your innocence if you have. I belive you don't have any proof that you solve this question by yourselves.

The video was recorded and published when the contest had 30 minutes remaining. This means the solution to the question being leaked when contest time was 1 hour 45 minutes. After 1 hour 45 minutes same solution was submitted by other users or just change the language or just change variable proving that this must not be a coincidence. It is obvious they cheated.

Sadly i still don't understand why people cheat and how will cheating help em anyways, why they don't understand practice hard on this site so you can clear online assessments rounds, rating shouldn't matter at all, as an Indian i feel this is so sad!

Yes You Are Right if people just cheat to increase rating but not able to clear the interviews that nothing matters !

if the rating is high , then we can get referrals easily. Is it correct?

Anyone who is giving referral will at least check his profile once and let's suppose even if he gets referral, i bet he wouldn't be able to clear the interview anyways because the expectations would be same as compared to his/her profile

I want to add some info that I recently found. There was a WhatsApp group called "leetcode everyday". Which initially started as a group of people for solving and discussing leetcode problems every day and preparing for coding interviews, I came across this group on FaceBook. It used to be a good community but later the admins became non-responsive and there was very little activity in the group. But last Saturday the group name, logo, and description were completely changed and they sent some messages asking to join in various telegram groups and which I just ignored. But yesterday I know there is a div-3 contest but was unable to take part and at 8:54 P.M. (IST) there was a message saying "Codeforces A B C D E UPLOADED" with a link to join the telegram group.

This is very sad, they don’t even understand they are gaining ratings which will not definitely help them and indirectly they are decreasing ratings of pure users!

if there are no cheaters , the difference in rating would not be more than +10 or +20

C will likely not be included in plag check and rightly so.

Let me explain, C needs like 3 lines of code at the very most, it makes no sense to catch cheaters on this, there are only so many reasonable ways to solve C.

here is my code for C :

int n; cin >> n; n++; cout << n * n + 1 << "\n";

i can bet lots of other people have the exact same code (with different templates)

does this mean we cheated?

I didn’t put your name in the list, I ony added those people who submitted the exactly same code after video published on YouTube. The video was published after 1 hour 45 minutes of the contest. And most of them from the list submit the exact same code after 2 hour contest started. It's it weird to you? or you are somehow defending those cheater?

the problem is very simple to solve it .. for me i solved this problem with greedy idea .. does that mean i cheated ? if i'm cheater, why didn't i cheat problem A,B and "D" ??

I have no guilt if someone thought of the same idea which is not considered an idea in the first place because I got the beginning of the idea through n*n.

The second time I will not send any solution except to make sure on Youtube that there is no one to solve the problem. Do you want that? haha :|

Finally, I am defending my right, please accept the criticism and reconsider the problem. If the solution is the same, this is not my fault

Same for me, so when you code a program such as "Hello world" it is always is "cout <<"Hello world";" and they said we are cheater because our code are the same lol.

what is to cheat in this question it's solution is one line just an equation if you waste 5 minutes in reading the problem you can get it:)

I thinks writing those blog is waste of your time.... Mike has a lot of works to do, regularly these cheating blogs are being posted but no action has been taken so far.... Due to this blogs we even miss the trending blogs that are usefull for us....
