dont try multiple websites for practicing problems since you will end up solving easy problems of each website and skipping tough problems (i did this mistake) just solve problems of rating 200 more than your current rating on codeforces(realized lately) never ever solve problems of your comfort zone coz that wont help you (i did this mistake also)

Solving problems randomly while ignoring the tags. Try not to dwell on a topic for too long, as it will affect you. and practice makes perfect, enjoy your journey!

don't worry about how to practice, just practice. i think there is some meta to it, but i've learned through my experience that if i just spent all the time i spent thinking about what problems to do just doing problems, i'd be much more successful.

Solve around 100-150 of 800 rated problems, then start moving to 900, 1000 as per your comfort, then upto 1200, post that do topic specific problem..
