Google Hashcode is only for Europe, Middle East and Africa. That is sad.

Where did you find information about date of the Deadline24 Quals? I can't find it on its site...

Is it the case that everybody who solves at least 1 question in qualifiers proceeds to round 1?

Yes. You only need to solve 1 question in qualifiers to proceed to round 1.

Can you please also tell me(if you know) if their judging servers are fast like codeforces servers? I don't want to get TLE because of stupid optimization errors. How many cycles per second do they process?

It works like Google Code Jam — you download the input set and upload then your source code and output, which is judged after the round is over.

they have a 6 MINs time limit for each question overall.

LOL 6 minutes? The constraints are too low for 6 minutes.

You must submit within 6 minutes, but is 6 minutes also a time limit for the problem.... even brute force solutions will pass.

The source codes you submit aren't really tested (thats the reason they ask for a output file). They ask for the code maybe to spot cheaters .

There is a logical problem there, you see. Unless they compile and run my submitted code, how will they know that the output file has been generated from my code? I can just take my friend's output file and a bogus near-correct code which I wrote on my own to qualify :)

It puzzles me that they won't compile our codes. Compilation will probably be done round 1 onward.

You cant just take your friends output file . How do you know that you both will get the same input file ?

Apologies, for I never competed in hackercup before. I can take his code and generate my output from his code, but submit my wrong code along with my correct output.
