Did you submit that greedy solution just based on your intuition still having a lot of time? Or did you stress-tested that during contest?
Ideally we can check the screencast for that, but as far as I remember I've submitted based on intuition when it became likely that even if I come up with a more complex approach, there will probably be no time to implement both that approach and the 500 (I was solving in 250-1000-500 order). I've stress-tested during the contest, but after submission — between submitting 1000 and starting 500.
Why did you open 1000p after 250p? Because you see OIerRobbin (TankEngineer) submitted it very fast or you notice Easy is harder than usual?
