As an asian, i do agree the contest time is really late. But it's fairly good time for russians(and mabye in moscow, you know russia is super huge) and codeforces is basically a russia site. Considering russians first is reasonable. Blame the earth.

Not so good for russians too. I am Russian and for me it starts 23:35 and ends 01:35 AM...

It would be nice to occasionally have different times/weekend contests.

I like 1:35-3:35, you can do it freely and no one will disturb you. If it's in the daytime, you may be working/schooling.

I do agree that it is hard in Japan, where I currently am. I woke up till 5 am yesterday to see final standings. But, if the time is earlier, then it may be hard on other countries. You can't have a time that is convenient for all. Best thing to do would be vary the start time in a range of 1-2 hours behind the normal start time on occasions.

I'm in Vietnam. The regular Codeforces round usually starts at 23:35pm and end at 1:35am the following day. However, most coders I think will not go to sleep immediately after the end of the round but wait for the final standings and sometimes even the rating changes. But because of our great love for Codeforces, me and my friends rarely miss any round. So I think if you love Codeforces that much, then the time difficulty can't barricade you.

I would really like to see USACO-style contest here.

I'm from Argentina and normally I can't participate because it's at noon and I'm working / studying. If it was at 2AM I could participate more.
