Hello Codeforces community,
I don't know why people have so much craze for contribution that they resort to cheap techniques like creating fake accounts and upvoting themselves. Check
One thing how this could be solved is by increasing the time taken to register the account. CF can add fields like "Organization" and other things mandatory and increase the size of the form. I am not into system design, so not sure if I am speaking wrong.
Second the captcha checking system is not functioning full correct. If captcha needs "1042 revenge", then "0000 revenge" also gets accepted. The captcha fails to match the digits (0 - 9). I tried and successfully generated accounts by wrong captcha.
Finally, I have seen useful comments getting downvotes for no reason. Check. Unnecessary downvotes of figures like -111.
It would be better if some trustable users can be added as "Blog Moderators" who could examine and maintain the decorum. :)
Cheers!
I think this is really serious issue, most of the threads of codeforces gets out of domain these days.
I don't know what blogs at CF really should contain. If newbies are facing difficulties, then they should not be welcomed by downvotes. I have faced such situations myself, and Codeforces was not like this before. People really look at CF as a place where they can begin learning from scratch. I myself refer CF to people who ask me about CP.
Asking doubts about some problem is ok, but commenting random stuffs is not cool I think, Even if you see contest announcement blog's most of the comments are just for fun and not related to learning or coding, thats why most of the time I ignore threads. But sometimes there are really good comments, so ignoring is also not good. If comments can be moderated It would be good I guess.
Why did you use fake account to post this blog? :/
