So this can be a little bit off-shore to problem solving in general, but I always wonder what to do the best contestants do before a contest. It would be very helpful if they share the pre-contest rituals which help them to calm down, hold their nerves and focus better during the contest. You can take the "before" to be from anything like a day before (does it matter? :p) to anything like 5 seconds before the round starts.
Having a nice dinner. :)
It certainly doesn't seem to be helping you. So maybe try not to have a nice dinner;)
Having a nice dinner is pre-ritual. It supports you to solve the problems.

Try short meditation sessions, with calming music.
Keep the ide, terminal and code template ready.
I like to draw a big pentagram with my own blood, light five candles around it, kneel on it and chant Satanic verses. Really helps with success in contests.
I can confirm! Every time I did it, I defeated tourist.
Yeah, that means you never did that ritual.
Drawing the petersen graph works better, also it helps as sample input in graph problems. And about the chants, I prefer listening violin music.

One day before, sleep well about 6-8 hours, usually I sleep about 4-5.
Couple of hours before, avoid eating something heavy, usually I don't do well in contests when I don't do that.
30 minutes before, listen to soft songs to get relaxed, prepare pen and papers, make a big cup of coffee/tea to drink during contest, This helps me relax during contest.
5 minutes before, check my registered online friends, go to the restroom, and watch the last minute timer.
After contest, get angry at all the bugs I had, And say I won't do these steps again :D
4-5 hours of sleep is insane. I can't even open my eyes in morning after sleeping for 9-10 hrs.
You mean "....sleeping less than 9-10 hrs."?
No, sleeping for 9-10 hrs(usually from 12 to 10/10.30)
After contest, get angry at all the bugs I had, And say I won't do these steps again :D
That's what I'm doing since last 100 contests :D
Work) pre-contest and post-contest ritual (actually during-contest)
