I just wanted to understand the mentality of people who can't help others but only do down votes. If I message someone personally then they act like they are so much superior or busy . At last what can anyone do except posting it here . Even before this I have posted too many problems so that anyone can help but I only recieved downvotes .I mean I have asked spoj problems and it is quite obvious that i dont have code for it still you guys behave like .... ugh

I think there are few ways to avoid it.

  1. Try to show some effort from your side.. let people know what all you have understood from the problem so far, how you have approached it. Show your code maybe use a pastebin link instead of straight copy-pasting it, indent it and include some comments.

  2. Be nice when you reply to people. (Since people are actually willing to take out their own time to help a random stranger with no duty posed on them)

  3. Don't sound frustrated or add emotional statements to your doubts or queries. This only makes it more annoying/ harder for other people to interpret it.

I have asked doubts twice I didn't get downvoted yet.

Also keep in mind some people downvote blogs since they don't want it to come up on their feed. If it's presentable enough and is clear to understand there will be people willing to help you out.

Also learn using latex. (I think that's what it is called. It helps you write typical notations and symbols in the editorial like style)

Posting the code is essential itself. That's not 'telling people your approach' though. Explanation should be written in natural language, and should show the logic in more understandable ways. It is not easy to read others' codes by themselves.

Just don't care about the downvotes. If you do care them that much, why not be more specific about your questions so that you can show people that you're actually willing to solve the problems and learn more? Some kind people answer some questions for free, and it is obvious that they won't be motivated if the questions are just like "tell me how to fix my code" or "please write a whole editorial for this problem".

Everyone's sick of the influx of dumb questions from low — rated people that basically now if a question is posted from any account less than Candidate Master, it's assumed as stupid and therefore downvoted. That's all, pal.

No, it's their lack of effort put in solving that problem which they are incapable to comprehend and just assume that it's happening because of ratism.

Assumed as stupid never excludes the idea that its actually stupid :). But better not to insult the OP as Im answerin’ shouldn’t I?
