To the more experienced contestants, do you have any tips on how should you approach the IOI to get a bronze medal? I know learning new things beforehand is more important, but do you have any tips beside that?

When i was on IOI , guys told me to solve more old IOI problems, because there are can be something new techniques or new ideas . Also to take Bronze medal you must solve one easy problem full and to solve a lot subtasks as lot as you can.
You would've gotten a medal if your tip actually worked. You have been bamboozled by "guys".
Why does that make his advice invalid? he clearly has much more experience than you or I or OP. If achievements/rating was indicative of importance of ones thoughts, than your comment means nothing as well.
You are a
good
man.He clearly doesn't have more experience than idk321
Eh, he has already attended the IOI while I'll be attending my first one this year. And it does really seem like solving the easy task whole and solving just the not hard subtasks in other problems gives you a bronze.
It only happen because problem "shoe" was easier than avg IOI problem. But this year it might be harder, so aiming for getting 100 could be a mistake, do it only if you are sure you gonna get 100.
Good luck on IOI !
Good luck on IOI Domen idk321 ! Don't worry and have pleasure, when you will be solving problems . It is important too .
And does that make his thoughts less worthless? You are right, he was asking for more experienced contestants, but that's no reason for your rude comment.
Solve all subtasks you can, don't worry about full scores. If you think you can solve a problem for full score, do it afterwards.
This is the way to bronze (or a higher medal).
There are many sad stories: "I was sure I can get 100p, coded 3 hours, there was some bug and I got 0p"
This is a pretty good blog https://codeforces.net/blog/entry/69100.
