Testers are paid.. With contribution.
Problem Setters or Authors are paid according to the round they are conducting, there is some criteria for that. this is the detailed blog.
on CF testers are not paid for testing, It's self willing contribution.
Ignore this, I am wrong :(
Normally, only writers are paid with cash and testers aren't.

In the Global Rounds, of course, writers are paid with cash , but additionally both writers and testers are paid with a T-shirt.
In my case, I was paid with $200 as the writer of CFR654(D2). And paid with a T-shirt as a tester of GCR10.(but the shirt still hasn't come to my hand...)
So how does Codeforces earn money, since there aren't any advertisements etc? Or it Non-profit?
