Since many people are writing blogs like goodbye 2020, favourite problem of 2020 ..., i also thought of adding one.
Disclaimer: Not writing this for contribution,so feel free to not hit upvote button, just read n chill.
2020 has been a fantastic year for me. A lot of good things (some bad too) happened:
1) became Candidate Master (never thought it would be possible, but smh it happened)
2) spent a lot of time with family during lockdown.
3) learnt how to drive car & tractor (still learning :))
4) got a chance to interview with some good IT companies.
From next year , i'll be joining as SDE, so not sure if I will be able to participate on CF + i don't enjoy CP as much as I used to do it some months back, so maybe will take a break. I have learnt a lot of things from CF blogs(n i really mean it), so huge to CF community.
If you wish to share your achievements, you are welcome :).
I feel like the failures I faced in this year are worth more than the achievements for me. I know it sounds cliched and a bit cringey , but it's true for me atleast. :P
Got from purple to red.
Made a youtube channel, went from 0 subs to 4.8k.
You forgot the best one

best singer. ever.
Became an expert from a newbie(This is not my real id though). Learned some card games(seriously, I never played card games before this year).
Why don't you post from the original account? This is only below expert who get downvoted for nothing.
Nothing worth mentioning..
But I guess I hit my all time lowest delta of -150 just before the end of the year.
Became Candidate Master and won a silver medal at EJOI (that was my first international olympiad)
Started CP, became CM, made a contest but never submitted, got rejected by every company known to human-kind, lost CM, started to hate CP.
I have no achievements in 2020. I have only failures to share. (unless you count an SDE internship offer as an achievement. I don't.)
I couldn't improve much at CP despite wasting a lot of time on it. I also performed very poorly in academics. Those were two of the very few things (Honestly, I can't think of anything else right now but maybe I missed something) I used to be somewhat good at. I always sucked at everything else and I always will. Also, I had to live in a shithole for almost the entire year. And the worst part is knowing that the worst is yet to come. Hopefully 2021 will only be just as bad as 2020 and not worse.
If you're feeling bad for me, a quick look at my comment history will change your mind.
After being newbie for 10 months, I finally made it back to pupil! Although stefdasca said that I would first reach newbie before going to specialist. But who cares, his predictions might be false and I would never reach specialist. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
congratulations bro!!
Become better at cooking. Cook almost every day.
Made a YT channel, hopefully contributed some useful content for the community.
Reached 10.6K subs :D
Ohh yes you have contributed a lot. Was planning to write a thank you note to you for your CSES editorial on Range Queries, but just saw this comment. It has been really helpful to me https://codeforces.net/blog/entry/77128
So thank you for making useful videos and blog posts, Kartik. I have all notifications on for your channel. Looking forward to more of it :-)
Thankyou for the nice words :)
Went from newbie to expert.
Got an Accept from my girlfriend xD
Nice, I hear most people get idleness limit exceeded or wrong answer.
Now, let's hope there won't be any runtime errors.
Stayed away from CP most of the time.
Given that you frequently visit Codeforces, how did you avoid the temptation to look at the problems and solve them(you just made around 10 submissions this year)?
I looked at problems only to be sure they don't coincide with problems from my problem pack.
Coached my university ICPC team. See a group of students improve from green/cyan to blue/violet.
Survived :)
Became specialist from expert :(
me: specialist from touching CM twice. :)
Participating a div1 contest and getting thrown by WAs
I got a girlfriend who does Competitive Programming...She is a very good person and I love her.
