Hi everyone, I was not able to solve A B problems in the contest on a constant basis.Sometimes I can solve Div 2A problem easily. But sometimes I had not solved any question in a contest.I have participated in every contest on codeforces. I also do upsolve one or two problems after the contest.I have solved around 350 problems(div2A+div2B) on codeforces. Can anyone tell me how to improve myself in cp? Thanks in Advance.

How long do you spend working on a question before checking the editorial? Are you able to stay focused during contests? If you can't see any improvement after 350 problems, it's probably time to relook at your approach and figure out what you're missing.

Well, dont write blogs on this again and again. You see i am also the same rating as u are. But already there are plenty of blogs available on this at Codeforces .Why create a new blog again? Go through those old blogs...there people have made good comments that will be useful for u.

Relax, brother you have just started competitive 3 months ago (assuming this is your only account). I don't think that being not able to solve any question in previous two contest is that much big of a problem (as many other participants who have been participating from a long time found them tough too, you can see that in comment section of contest and once submissions start growing exponentially, then mind stops working, if you have not practiced enough).

  • For beginners like us its more important to focus on more on process (practicing daily , analyzing mistakes after contests, not repeating similar mistakes etc.) than the results.

  • I am not saying don't take your ratings seriously, but if you are doing the process right, then sooner or later results will follow and if you don't focus on process then there is no way you can perform consistently.

  • Yes, if other newbie participants found any contest easy and you feel that still you are struggling to do right then you need to look, what you are doing wrong and correct it.

  • Still you can learn from this contest, whether your skillset was lacking to solve the problem (then you can practice more A level questions from previous cf contests) or is it temperament (then build it). whatever it is, work over it, keep moving ahead.
