Can I join your team or anybody else's? It's my first hashcode, I will learn a lot.
Ah! Sorry, I am going with the same team of which I was a part of last year. Hope you also get good team members:)
Okay, no problem. Does anybody else have space in their team?
i have a team this my first time are you willing to join https://codingcompetitions.withgoogle.com/hashcode/jointeam/00000000008caae7/0000000000913bf6/91dcd98fb6457760
MikeMirzayanov Here is an UI bug. The comment is extending inside top-rated list!
Anyone looking for a team member? If so send me a message. (This is also my first hashcode.)
Thanks for the link.
The HashCode practice round problem statement looks similar to what is usually being solved in AtCoder Heuristic Contests. Of course there are some differences too. Such as teamwork vs. solo participation. Also running code on your own computer and submitting results vs. submitting your code to be run by the online judge with a time limit. But in general, strong AHC contestants will probably show good results in HashCode and the other way around.
I have only participated in the last three AHC contests (2 rated and 1 unrated) with this kind of unofficial AHC rating, but never participated in HashCode before. I may be interested in joining some existing HashCode team or creating my own team. The biggest problem is that I'm generally using D language instead of C++ and this may make finding a suitable team difficult.
Also I really hope that there will be one more AHC contest before the HashCode teams are finalized. So that the teammates could be selected by their AHC participation results. Because teaming up with completely random people does not seem like a very good idea. Too bad that there don't seem to be any future AHC contests announced yet in the AtCoder feed.
I wish I was at least 16 years old.
Will I get in trouble if I lie about my age?
no, you won't. You can lie about your age.
Just Indian Things
?
Lying is bad in general. Also even if you somehow really need to lie for whatever reason and can't help it, then publicly confessing about this in a public forum isn't very reasonable either. You never know when somebody may use this against you. Better talk about it with your parents rather than listen to random Internet strangers.
Maybe I will wait until I turn 16 since I don't want to get sued.
For you the risk of getting sued is pretty much non-existent. It's more likely the other way around: if something happens to you during the HashCode contest (for example, a serial murderer pretends to be looking for a HashCode teammate and manages to lure you to his house), then Google doesn't want to be sued by your parents.
Interesting...
