Our team, Brookline Computer Science Initiative, is excited to announce the

Massachusetts Computer Science Olympiad

The individual online qualification round lasts from August 1, 2024, 11:59 PM (EST) to September 1, 2024, 11:59 PM (EST) for all online participants. The qualification round has no time limit and consists of 3 problems. MACSO is a free competition and has problem difficulty ranging from Div 3 (qualification) to Div 2 (finals) in terms of Codeforces rounds.

The top qualifiers will advance to the final round on October 19th participating either online or in-person at the Brookline Teen Center (two separate rankings).

The online final round is open to everyone. The top 3 online finalists will receive Amazon gift cards and sponsored awards. In addition, Raffle prizes will be randomly distributed among 5% of the online finalists

In-person finals are designated only for high school students and will take place at the Brookline Teen Center, MA at the same time. On-site participants will be provided with free t-shirts, pizza, and fun activities. The top 5 finalists will receive Amazon gift cards and solid sponsors awards. We will randomly draw raffle prizes among 10% of the in-person finalists
