I think it depends on your RAM
i think it's 10 by 10, but it can go up to 12 by 12 if you have a good computer.
let your $$$2D$$$ array has $$$N$$$ rows and $$$M$$$ column then you can create global $$$2D$$$ array only when $$$N \times M \; \le \; 10^8$$$
