Solve older contests and joing new contests. Wasn't able to solve any thing no problem start upsolving after the round and look at the editorial, maybe that's a new topic and you will learn something new from this problem.
Always try to solve problems that might seem out your league (don't go too high) because solving problems that are easy to you won't get you any where.
