Algorithms_with_Shayan's blog

Hello everyone,

I am a competitive programming instructor with 8 years of experience, including as a team leader in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI). I have helped many IOI students achieve medals, many of them for free.

Through these years, I have developed a new approach to teaching CP that helps students develop a strong intuition for algorithmic thinking, beyond simply explaining algorithms.

I currently have some free time, so I am offering to teach a few students. I teach in simple English.

If you are a talented and passionate CP student with a financial need, I am happy to teach you for free. But in general, my rate is 50-70$/hour.

Please send an email to [email protected] or message me here if you are interested in learning more.

PS: Sorry for putting this message in Codeforces, I thought it was the best place to do so.

With 50-70$/hour rate, you may find that everyone is in financial need.

If a GM tutor at this rate, maybe I as an expert can/should tutor people at 3$/hr. :)

And following this logic, you should be paid for being tutored by me.

I am curious as to what the "new approach" entails, if it is not secret

Yes but why aren't you LGM or IGM with your own "strong intuition for algorithmic thinking"

Well technically, he never said he has "strong intuition for algorithmic thinking" but rather "helps students develop a strong intuition for algorithmic thinking"

I know lots of purples that have better intuition than me.
