UPD: The calculation updated, for some reason I filtered only CF style competitions. Now it includes everything. Still ruban best :)

I revisited some data from Codeforces and, after 5 years, decided to calculate again who has participated in the most contests. I took into account all official contest participations, including those where a user participated unofficially. However, I excluded Practice/Virtual contests.

P.S: I think no one will beat ruban ever :)

How it's possible that PAG got just +15 contests from the previous post if he's still actively participating? I just opened his contest record and it shows 761 rated rounds which definitely should be among what you call official

The data is incorrect. I have 362 official but it says 275 on the list, and my unofficial count isn't right either.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant. You are quite old and might not live as long as other guys from this top (no offence, just facts). It was a response to blog's author who said that you won't be beaten ever.

As a diligent participant, clist shows overall contests number. There are 25 coders who have participated 1000+ contests. (I remember almost all of the names, lol)
