Yesterday, I participated in Codeforces Round 1004 (Div. 1) and encountered the following problem.

I used ChatGPT to translate the problem statement into Chinese, but the translation was not accurate, especially for problem A. It incorrectly mixed the input format with the hack format and mistakenly stated that both $$$x$$$ and $$$y$$$ were known, where as $$$y$$$ is actually hidden in this problem.

This caused confusion and frustration when I realized that GPT had provided an incorrect statement, and the inaccurate translation nearly wasted half an hour of my time.

Therefore, I suggest that official AI-translated statements be provided so that participants can choose which version to use. If an incorrect translation is provided, the headquarters should take appropriate actions, such as making affected participants unrated or semi-rated.

Thanks.

As proposed, I disagree with this, but I think that it has some potential. If you want an AI translation, just use google translate or some other tool. Codeforces can't make its own AI translator that is better than the existing best technology. I personally would suggest using human translations created before the contest since those are the most reliable and would avoid all of the problems that arise from mistranslations.

But provide official AI translation means the headquarters can know who is affected by the incorrect translation and let them unrated or semi-rated, to lower its effect.

No this would make people become more discouraged to learn English properly and create more retards on this platform
