Hello, and, again, you are invited to a monthly contest: HackerEarth October Clash.
The problemsetter this time is RomaWhite; I'm the tester and editorialist. After all, I have to give I_love_Tanya_Romanova a chance to compete! :D
The contest takes place this weekend (starting time) and runs for 24 hours. There should be 6 algorithmic problems with partial scoring (points are given independently for passing each test file) and 1 challenge problem. I think the problems are easier than last month, when two subtasks of one problem went unsolved by anyone.
Good luck!
Btw, round 1 of COCI overlaps with this Clash for 3 hours. That, of course, doesn't mean it's not possible to participate in both at the same time — from my own experience. It gets harder when trying to take part in all contests which take place tomorrow...
UPD: The contest has finished, congratulations to the colourful top 5:
- Catalin Stefan Tiseanu
- JoeyWheeler
- rantd
- FatalEagle
- Lewin
The editorials were delayed (because I overslept), almost all of them are up now.
Not everyone is Xellos :P
Don't let your dreams be dreams.
Thanks Shia LaBeef
Who is Xellos anyway?
I remember reading a comment that he is not only a grand-master on Codeforces, but he is also at a grand-master level in many other fields. How could he do that? Could someone tell me?
"Xellos is a fictional character and primary figure in the Slayers fantasy comedy light novel series and its manga and anime. He is a powerful Mazoku, who is both a help and a hindrance to protagonist Lina Inverse and her friends. " ;) Courtesy : Wikipedia. btw just click on his profile man ? As for how he can be grandmasters on various websites . Well y can't he? A lot of ppl are . Some examples : Tourist ! Egor, Bohdan etc
I guess that "many other fields" here means different subjects, not just different competitive programming sites.
Here it is.
Yes, that is what I mean.
By the way, thank you for showing me that link. It is more than I could imagine. What a guy!
A good way to rephrase the Wikipedia summary is: I'm a joke character :D
You mean you're giving I_love_Tanya_Romanova a chance to compete in SEERC (which also takes place tomorrow and which his team won last year) :) Or maybe he'll also compete in the Clash afterwards :) Why not?
Yes, there's a subtle "if he tries it along with SEERC". Well, it's a 24 hour contest, I'm sure there's time to be found for it. Even if just 6 hours, that'd be longer than a full ACM contest.
I am not participating in SEERC :)
Still not sure about Clash — I have a lot of other things to do on weekend (and a lot of contests), but trying contest prepared by my ex-teammate sounds as a good idea.
The site is full of spam and email is full of spam after you register to Hackerearth.
Actually, you can turn off email notifications in profile settings. But I don't think this is the place to complain about site-related things...
