Another ma5termind round :) :). Your last round Hourank was amazing. I hope another good problem set from you.
I agree, his last round was nice.
By the way, I hope that there will be no problem with adding 5 numbers, like 300 + 200 + 100 + 50 + 50 = 800.
let me ask them.
hi Errichto
I guess it also includes 20 t-shirts cost.
Then the blog title is wrong. But it isn't that important anyway :)
How many ways to change two characters in "300 + 200 + 100 + 50 + 50 = 800" to make the equation holds? This problem worth $100 which is hidden above.
Is Hackerrank going to always give such prizes for 101Hack in future?
no
I will try to apply these kind of prizes regularly, but we need to see how's the prize motivates the participants.
Cant view problems :(
Problem's B statement was a shit!
I wasted plenty of time trying to understand the statement!
Then, I opened discussion and saw, that guys have the same trouble.
I don't understand only one thing: why you were not able to find this bug for such a long period of time?
Despite problem's B statement the contest is nice.
We are really really sorry. We did not have author of that problem present at that time. So, tester changed the statement and meanwhile author came and he also changed it too but wrongly. So, this way it all went. I again apologise on our part. Apart from this, i wish you guys have enjoyed this contest.
Some nonsense
They are obviously not equivalent because . So, and .
XD
I simply looked at the problem and comprehended what it asked of me (each diagonal contains smaller elements than the following one) without actually paying attention to the formula :D
When I was testing it I also comprehended the problem the way you were, but it turned out to be a big mistake even I tried to prepare the contest as careful as possible. Hope you can understand. We will improve next time.
We are sorry about the suck response after problem arose. You will have better experience in the upcoming contests, we are growing, and as a tester, I feel awful to see these kind of stupid bug.
Hardest problem: Trying to understand the description of Super Humble Matrix (problem B) before the clarification.
It took me, like, 20–30 minutes just for reading and understanding the description @_@
How to solve the third Problem?
You can check the editorial for that problem. It is already published here
Screencast with rap
Still waiting for Bredor's screencast...
Contest is not rated?
It will be rated.
