Deemo's blog

Participating alone in a virtual contest is quite boring, so I've decided to create a group for programmers who feel the same and want to compete in virtual contests alongside other people.

To join this group, your cf rating should be at least 2000 (I might make exceptions though if you convince me your rating is not what it should be) and you should send me a message containing suggestions about how we should communicate and your thoughts about what the minimum rating of members should be.

I'd also like to know opinions of more experienced users about my plan! So please, send me messages about your thoughts. :)

**UPD** If you want to join the group (and your rating's meeting the requirements) send me a message containing your telegram username.

Hey guys,

I wanted to update this blog to let you know that this group is no longer for virtual participation. It's simply a group where sometimes we share and discuss problems. Feel free to contact me if you're interested in joining our group.

Wow! I guess it's not a bad idea if someone created a group for people below 2000.

as i see codeforces rating doesn't always indicates the real level of the competitive programmer , i think you shouldn't take the cf rating as a measure :/

Maybe he should sort the contestant in decreasing rating, and then make the groups. I think that everyone will be happy in this way.

When you are green, solve problems for greens. People in that group will solve problems for 2000+. Greens can't solve problems for 2000+.

He thinks that his level is higher than his rating, he just needs more rated contests to prove it but there aren't many. (don't downvote please)

He's done 20 contests and he's 64 above the default rating. I think his rating has pretty much stabilized.

There won't be any problem. The "best" will make team with others best, I guess.

It's true that CF rating!=real skill, but there is a pretty strong correlation. In addition, what other measure is there that is better to use to judge real skill?

can't agree with you any more, for example I can solve a lot of problems Petr and tourist can't solved, but I'm not good at hand speed match and have no ratings.

It'd be nice if it was possible to sign up for virtual contests as a group and participate in them normally. As it is, ACM mode is quite boring for me :(
