Hello everyone.
Is there anybody who interviewed/interned/worked at Samsung (Seoul or any other office) for software engineering-related positions? I think it's more probable to find such people among All-Siberian Open Olympiad in Programming participants, as Samsung sponsored it for some time.
If there is, would you mind sharing your experience or thoughts? Extra bonus points if you compare it with your European/American experience.
I wonder what the over/under on number of people responding who actually worked at Samsung is, seems rather specific, would not be surprised if there are exactly 0 people here who have.
I was working in Samsung. Really, there is too low count of people who works in Samsung and participate (or participated before) in programming competition.
Samsung for working has positive and negative moments. There is too much bureaucracy but some count of projects is really interesting and exciting.
I didn't work there, but I have few friends who did. All those opinions are pretty consistent in stating that it is one of the worst choices for work, especially for interns. Boring projects, not very friendly environment, interns treated as kids etc. However all of them relate to just Poland.

Although the picture is kind of funny (and mostly irrelevant), I'd advise to hide the picture and place a warning that it contains graphic content.
UPD: thank you.
I did an intership at Samsung Electronics Software R&D Center in Seoul last winter. I agree with both knst and Swistakk. Good projects are rare if your position or team is not related to research parts. They try to fix the problems related to bureaucracy, but it seems it takes some time. My friends(who worked at the same center) and I learned a lot and had good time during the internship.
