UPD: Contest over. Did you participate?
Online Physics Brawl will take place on November 30th. Registration is possible until November 28th.
It's a team competition intended for secondary school students from Yugoslavia Czechoslovakia Czech Republic and Slovakia, but there's a category for foreign secondary schools and an open category for anyone. Given the target audience, I don't think it'd be impossibly hard for CF users.
You can find the rules and past problems at online.fyziklani.cz. For each problem, you only submit a number, so programming knowledge may be useful (but the problems are fully solvable without it).
I'm a minor problemsetter/tester and the translator this year.
Oooh, Physics Brawl, this one is my favorite, very interesting contest with a strange format where there is a hurry-up phase in the middle.
Unlike informatics students, who have online contest to train (and enjoy) every week, physics students only have one each year (yes, Physics Brawl). I would definitely recommend this contest to our CF fellows, and I think some physics knowledge background will be helpful during the contest.
Auto comment: topic has been updated by Xellos (previous revision, new revision, compare).
When I saw the title : Oh , Physics competition <3 and a bulb suddenly lit up in my brain .
I see this : "UPD: Contest over. Did you participate?" my joy became ashes :'( . How can I subscribe to get a notification of something for these contests ? ? ?
The contest is annual. Expect it around this time next year.
