Do you know "Herbert"?
"Herbert" is the programing puzzle game that was used on Microsoft ImagineCup for three years.
@quolc developed the website "Herbert Online Judge" and we can play "Herbert" now!
"Herbert" is very interesting game and there is more to it than meets the eye. New technics are found even now! How about playing?

Why don't you play "Herbert"?

Mostly because tutorial / rules are "Sorry, only in Japanese". You probably may guess that not so much people outside Japan know this language — and google translate results require significant efforts to understand the matter. And "instruction in English by wildnoodle" gives server error.

However if you update your post with translation, probably this will help people worldwide to play this.

      Thanks for adding link!

I also found uHerbert primitive standalone variant (Windows).

If I understood correctly, the scoring is based upon the size of the program code (the less the better) — and programs themselves are similar in idea to language of numerical-controlled automated machines (G-code).

(however I suppose that competitions in minifications — like HugiCompo — are something different than usual programming contests and not so much people may like it)

The link to the English tutorial is broken. Can you give a sample of the allowed syntax or a link to a tutorial that works?

P.S. A friend told me about this while I was discussing this problem from Google Codejam World Finals 2019.
