hacking the solution??

what is hacking phase please explain it a bit and what do we mean by hack .can it be done during the contest or only in open hacking phase after contest time(if it is there)

In hacking phase you can see others solution. If a solution is accepted for preliminary testcases and you think there's a testcase exists for which the solution will not be accepted, then you can hack the solution with the testcase.
