The schedule of FHC 2018 (November 1-2) is overlapped with 2018 ICPC Seoul Regional Contest.
Due to the schedule, dotorya, molamola., and me probably will not be able to attend FHC Final. I think it is unfair to Korean contestants. Is there a possibility that the date will be adjusted?

I think Seoul is the best regional contest in our subregion, but if it overlaps with FHC it may be a good idea to choose other regionals.
(Note for people outside Asia — Asia is divided into multiple subregions, and each subregion contains multiple regional contests. You can choose any of them (up to two) in your subregion and qualify.)
The problem is that, Seoul Regional performs an important role for selecting the team to advance WF from our university, SNU. If there are multiple teams who got tickets from various countries, we decide the team to advance WF using Seoul Regional's rank. That's the reason that this situation matters for us.
Ehm, it's not really unfair, just unfortunate. Changing a fixed schedule can matter, as it obviously affects the hosts, and also affects other contestants. I'm unsure whether this schedule is really "fixed", though.
Whatever, I hope best of luck for Korean participants.
Why do I smell something burning? :p
Hmm, I thought I was helping them.
But maybe it was rude for me to interrupt the talk from great FHC finalists. :(
If there's real risk that you won't get to ICPC WF by going to FHC, and you can't just go next year(s), then go to the regionals. Otherwise, go to FHC.
Facebook is probably planning these things too far ahead to move the date for a few people.
