Is it ELO rating system?

Hi Codeforces
The ELO rating system seems to be unfunctional.
For an instance shokouf whose rate is 1640 , just recived +20 on a Div 2 contest in which he got 1586 th.
That seems pretty illogical compared to previous rating changes that CF had.
please write down your opinions :)

for example King_Garfield got 2617 th rank and recived +15 from unrated !!!!

I agree with you! he is a real newbie but he is getting up in every contest when his rank is so low! I don't know why is this happening for him. Is he so white?

No. Codeforces rating system is based on elo rating system but with an anti-inflation feature. The official reference is here, and one implemention can be seen here.

I think whiteness is more important then ranking for getting + in contests !
