ouuan's blog

tl;dr: Write a new blog on CF (you don't have to post it), add a line [tutorial: <problem id>] (e.g. [tutorial: 1336A]), and preview it.

This tag fetches the tutorial from Polygon. After the problem is added to the problemset, anyone can get it. However, you can't get it if the authors haven't written the tutorial, or they didn't write it on Polygon.

But, why don't authors publish the tutorial even if they've finished writing the tutorials?

There can be many reasons:

  • The tutorials of one or two problems are still under construction, while the tutorials of other problems are finished.

  • The tutorial is written, but not completely finished yet. For example, there may be some grammar mistakes, maybe it's not very easy to understand. The authors may want to make the tutorial better before publishing it.

However, if you don't mind reading a non-finished tutorial which may be hard to understand with some mistakes, this method may be helpful for you.

Interesting. I can't imagine that CF didn't think of this yet.

Let's be real if this is true then there are a lot some users who took advantage of it.

I don't think that many people outside of problemsetters knew about that feature, and I believe problemsetters to be on higher end of fair play scale. Also that wouldn't work all the time, because it needs editorial to be written before the contest which is not always the case. So I wouldn't say that it is improbable that the bug exists but wasn't exploited yet.

Even if only problem-setters knew about this it they should have report about it, if it is true that it can be done during the contest , just in case.

PS I would rather have no bug than having unexploited bug.

Related issue: I remember that editorials written in Polygon could be loaded in CF editorial blog only after systesting is done. Is this still a thing?

I have seen editorials published right after the contest end, before the systesting even started.
