There have been a lot of cheaters recently in Codeforces. Currently, Codeforces just skips theirs solutions and does NOT reduce their ratings at all.
In Codechef, cheaters are punished by reducing their ratings drastically and sends them a email notice. If you get caught cheating repeatedly (2nd or 3rd time), your Codechef account gets banned permanently.
MikeMirzayanov It would be nice if Codeforces implemented the same punishment to cheaters.

Only their submissions for recent round were skipped, it felt so unfair. They should've been punished more. I have noticed, they are doing this multiple times in the past to increase ratings abruptly especially the one who is expert amongst them. These accounts should be either permanently banned or decrease their ratings so much that they do not even think of cheating again.
I request MikeMirzayanov to permanently ban these accounts as they have doing it in the past contests also.
I propose -1000 every time they are caught.
In a month all cheaters will be done for.
The idea sounds good but I must tell you that there has been no rating decrease for plagiarism on Codechef since two years. I know people who are 5 or 6 star and have plagiarised many times in the last year. Their ranks for the respective contests have been decreased but the rating is still intact.
