I've uploaded a lot of my recent contest screencasts to my YouTube channel, including HackerCup Round 1, Global Round 10, and Google Kickstart Round E. I'd love for you guys to take a look!
I've also received a bunch of questions about my setup/templates, so I gave a quick showcase in my newest Kickstart Round E video, as well as live commentary through the whole contest. Please check it out, and subscribe if you'd like to see more! Also, let me know in the comments if there's anything else you'd like to see!
how to delete this comment? tell me please..
I agree completely. William Lin is definitely the top notch streamer in Competitive Programming.
I find second thread's explaination easier to understand.
Light above your head is so bright .
You have a high pitch noise in your videos (for example https://youtu.be/ExmrrXi04vI ). Might really want to check out how to remove that. It reminds me of this video https://youtu.be/RA5UiLYWdbM . Maybe you can't hear it, but for me it is pretty loud. I asked some people over on discord and not everyone could hear it, it is really high pitched.
The frequency is at 7.8kHz and an overtone at 15.6Khz. Do you have a PAL CRT running (that would be 15.625kHz)? ecnerwala
In any case, applying a notch filter at around 7.8kHz and 15.6kHz would remove that issue.
Oh that noise is probably this noisy inductive charger I have; it was also really annoying IRL but I guess I've started to tune it out.
Thanks for the advice, I'll add the filter.
I don't like to see the characters you are typing below your face.
I am interested in the keystrokes for the vim editor though.
Just a heads up that you are leaking stuff from your bash history whenever you ctrl-r/fzf.
Should probably just swap to a different bash history before streaming unless you were super disciplined about not having anything sensitive in it (env keys, etc).
I love too see tourist stream as well as Errichto cause it motivate and boost me up! Now you are on the save list too!
tmwilliamlin168 wants to know your location
What keyboard do you use? (it sounds nice)
It's just my Thinkpad's builtin keyboard; I actually prefer it over a lot of mechanical keyboards.
how is it that noisy?
The laptop's integrated mic is very close to it.
video idea : you could explain the movements which are generally useful in vim while coding like F or something
Man, you spoiled tmwilliam's video title "Winning google kickstart round E"
And his chance to get a job. XD.
that was too funny to be called a joke by tmwilliamlin
May i know which ide you use ecnerwala ?
He uses a Vim editor with a couple of plugins. You can get his .vimrc file from Github profile.
