This is an ancient post, but I do see a need of OI mode contests in recent actions from time to time, so maybe it’s high time we considered this again.
I think this will be beneficial for people who are preparing for OIs, whether it is CNOI mode (no realtime judge feedback) or IOI mode. Since partial scoring is really different from the current CF contests.
I think maybe Codeforces IOI Round #x can be held in parallel with the normal Codeforces Rounds.
Apart from that, it would be great to see more kinds of contests. In current CF mode contests, heavy implementation is nearly impossible given the number of problems crammed into a short timespan. While in a 5h-3 tasks IOI contest, setters can put heavy implementations in. There can be even more possibility like answer-submitting problems (you download the inputs, work out the answer in whichever way you like, and submitting the output).

As an OIer from China,I strongly support your idea.
At first there is only ACM-rule contests, but then codeforces-mode contests were added.
So I think it's a great idea for us to have more IOI/CNOI mode contests.
Why is there no realtime feedback in CNOI by the way? It used to be just like that in RNOI(in ancient times before 2012 I think), but this was mostly because of some technical issues, as far as I know.
I also want cnoi to be like IOI.
I don't know why and I complained about this for many times....
Completely agree. I can't continue to participate in IOI anymore, and that kind of contests would be a great way to remember old times.
Can you please list out sites which host IOI based contests frequently?(apart from codechef lunchtime)
COCI is full feedback now. Last three problems should resemble the IOI. Might be a little bit easier than an average IOI.
As an OIer in China, I totally agree IOI mode contests :)
Have you ever seen an IOI that is not in IOI mode these years? So there is a lot of advantages to learn something about IOI mode contests :)
I'm an OIer from China. I completely agree this idea.
In codeforces, IOI mode's contests are always unrated and only few. If theres Codeforces IOI Round I think it can help OIer to pratice thier IOI mode contest skills.

I think all kinds of contests are important because each contest has its own style. CNOI mode contests usually have problems with a lot of parts (each part has some scores) so that though someone cannot solve one of the problem completely, they can use other algorithms or data structures to get scores. Sometimes, this can also give participants some hints to solve a problem, because it shows the train of thought of a author. While CF mode contests can be used to practice your speed to solve a problem and your ability to find bugs (because you can try to hack someone). And this can also train your thinking especially in constructive problems.
i am creating a mashup and i want to give different points to different questions how can i do that ?
