What if overwrite changes his handle first?
You can change only once. So you stay for a year what you overwrite with.
If I change the handle that means the magic already started. No Need to swap accounts.
I believe I can't choose the handle which was already selected by someone in the past, so it's impossible.
However, I can do like username1 or similar, but very boring :(

I think so, but in 2016, 2017 and 2018 it started later. Don't worry yet, be patient.
