*An individual's tourist factor is defined as the probability that this person would perform better than tourist in a Codeforces round, as predicted by the Elo Rating System.
**Contestants with question marks in their country have not told us which country you wish to represent, and this is my best guess based on your Codeforces profile.
Does CF Rating Predict Hacker Cup Performance?
Here's a graph of the finalists' rating vs. their Round 3 place:
So yes, it's a good predictor, but it certainly doesn't explain everything; it's not out of the question that any competitor could have an unusually good or bad contest, as you would expect.
Post-Contest Livestream (on Facebook)
Yep, be sure not to miss all the excitement in the post-contest livestream, during which Zef and I reveal the final scoreboard! Get excited--I'll see you Saturday!
Maybe there are reasons why some people excluded their country, and you shouldn't try to add these countries?
lol
Honestly I think the biggest reason people excluded their country is: "oops, I didn't check my email in the past 2 weeks lol"
I'm pretty sure that I responded to the email and even got a reply.
The probability that tourist beats tourist is 50%?
Seems reasonable to me. If you had a clone of him, the original would win half the time.
Are you sure they won't have a tie most of the times?
Any updates on Hackercup t-shirts?
Emails for shirts should have been sent out already. We've seen reports of it getting moved to spam, so please be sure to check that out if you haven't yet. If you're still not seeing it, please let me know and we'll check you out individually.
Yaa thanks, I too received it
Put a rightmost column on secondThread factor ...
Auto comment: topic has been updated by SecondThread (previous revision, new revision, compare).
How come that Um_nik represents Ukraine nowadays? Any reasons?
Because I live in Ukraine and don't want to represent Russia.
Can someone tell me why jqdai0815 is not on the leaderboard?
He hasn't done a contest in a long time, so he is no longer considered an active contestant. If you're watching for him on the stream, his handle will be "apiad".
So, what will be my tourist factor? Would it be 0.000000000001%?
What about negative percentage?
Lol :)
It's actually 0.0000049%. I'll make a tool this weekend that lets you check your tourist factor (or any-other-user-factor), since it seems like a fun thing to have.
Could you share a link or something to the tool? I'm kind of curious about my tourist rating :D
I hope someone from India is here too next time cerberus97
