My code has been stolen and disseminated

Revision en1, by fallleaves01, 2024-12-24 19:14:04

Today, the system sent me eight notifications, stating that my code for problems 2048C and 2048D has a high degree of similarity with a large number of submissions, with one notification indicating that the maximum number of identical submissions reached 180, and I was the first to submit.

In fact, my code was entirely written by myself locally, and there was no dissemination or leakage of the code during the competition. I also did not share any form of video stream, so theoretically, my code could only exist on my local computer and in my submission.

Upon reviewing the submissions flagged as duplicates, I found that their code content was identical to mine but without indentation and with additional comments. My code is fallleaves01/297269557, and an example of a duplicate is crocydump/297287528. I have reason to believe that someone has stolen my code through hacking within the room and widely disseminated it. I hope to understand what exactly happened and how to prevent this from occurring in the future.
