Hello everyone.

I have realised that there is no problem tag for #interactive problems. I believe it is possible that a CPer might be weak at interactive problems and would like to upsolve from problemset. In such a case,#interactive tag becomes helpful. As for me, I have solved interactive problems only twice, and would like to improve.

It will be good if interactive problems are marked in #interactive tag.

I am a lazy competitive programmer. I want to become a billionaire by winning competitive programming contests. How can I do so ?

Q. Why don't ratings improve ?

A. You are not skilled at competitive programming.

Q. How to improve ?

A. Practice and upsolving.

Q. I'm doing that. Still practicing. But still ratings don't improve ?

A. a) You aren't practising enough.

b) You are looking at editorials too soon.

c) You are solving easy problems again and again.

Q. If I'm not practising enough, how much more should I practice ? 10 (Div2 D/Div 1 B, Div2 E/Div1 C) problems per day ? 20 problems per day ? 100 problems per day ? How much ?

This has become a regular event. I start some contest, fuck myself up and do it again. I reached expert rating, now I have come down a lot. In every contest, I'm not able to solve some problem which I can, under lot of time. Then there are some problems, which I can barely think of. Div 1 coder seems to be just a dream. Even after 3 years of competitive programming, I can't improve any more. Competitive programming is making me question my life choices, and I'm starting to feel horribly exhausted!..........

I just wish God to give me energy to continue further, and rejoice at upvotes and endure the downvotes of the Codeforces community, and carry on! Lets hope that I have 9 lives, and I become a Candidate Master at the end of the 9th.

Hi guys ! I'm about to get out of my university and step into the corporate world. In India, most competitive programmers stop competing once they leave college. Most of them are in this game for sake of getting jobs at tech giants like Google, Microsoft etc. However, some people never stop competing. There are some who learnt competitive programming while being employed. If you are one of them who hasn't left competitive programming while working, I would request you to share your strategy. How do you balance to do both while still remaining strong during competitions ? I'm just curious.

Hi, few days ago I barely hit Expert on Codeforces, I would like to know the best strategy to stick in the Expert zone, and also the practice strategy to become Candidate Master. I usually solve Problems A,B and C. I sometimes do D and E outside of contest. Usually, their ideas don't strike me, but when they do, there's very little time left in the contest. How to reduce that time of striking ideas ?

Also, what should be the best strategy for upsolving the Google Code Jam problems ?

I can't paste my code in the 'Source Code' field. Anyone else with the problem ? I know I can upload a file for submission, but that ruins my experience. I'm disappointed. I'm out of today's contest !

If its only me who's facing the problem, please help !
