Compare https://www.acmicpc.net/problem/23679 and https://codeforces.net/contest/1710/problem/E, and you can find that there are crazy similarities in all of the legend, the input, the output, and the sample. Can the authors Rhodoks and zxyoi explain it?

I really do not think we should attack people personally for such silly things. You community here are sometimes too fucked up and oversensitive about such things. If someone cheats at contest or copies a past problem to make a contest it does not make them a son of a bitch. It's just a virtual website. So calm down, just one unrated contest will not kill you. It may seem too tragic for you but it's just a one website's contest so do not consider it so serious to offend a person, I suggest.(I am talking about community, not just you)

Let's be serious. This is not just a ``silly thing", it's about the integrity as a person. Setting problems is a kind of creative work and in my opinion should be treated no less seriously as writing papers, and (academic) integrity remains a bottom line. This thing of copying problems is as serious as plagiarism in academia, assuming he did it deliberately.

Yes, people may be over angry and make personal attacks not only because the problem is copied and maybe because of their own rating loss, and he probably doesn't deserve all those pouring anger. Nevertheless, what he deserves, at least in my opinion, is that he should never set any problem on Codeforces from now on, as a slightest punishment plagiarists would take in academia.

As a problem setter, of course he did a bad thing, and it is logical not to give him a chance to set a contest next time. But that all was his career mistake, it has nothing to do with personal life. If those people faced him straight, would they be also so aggressive and offensive? I consider it a silly thing to touch him personally. I also find it too dumb when some people(I have seen some Indians) who were friends before start offending each other even saying that they are the shame of their parents and other bollshit (after they found that the other one have cheated at some contest). If someone makes such a career mistake or is such irresponsible it does not mean we should hate them.

I agree with you partly. Personal insults are unconditionally unacceptable, and I will not try to talk people who personally insult others into being decent, as I consider those people irrational and not worthy to debate with.

Apart from this, I think it is completely OK and we even should be angry about this thing, including despising the author who delibrately copies the solutions. This is not to be confused with personally attacking the author and being offensive.

No that one is fine, it's the rest of these that are just spam.

Anyway, why is everyone assuming they are referring to their mother? The message said "I'm son of bitch"; it was not clarified which parent is supposed to be the "bitch".

I need to start googling problems instead of trying to actually solve them... (And yea this is clearly copied, quite unfortunate... :( )

I think it would be fair to make this round unrated. Of course, I may be interested in this, but I'm only saying this because it's an incredibly big mistake and this is the only way to fix it.

Isn't this the work of the coordinator to detect such problems?

Actually no. Of course, coordinators reject problems which they know appeared before and even if they do not remember the exact problem from before they may just say that it is too standard and similar to existing problems. This is not the case for this problem. The problem itself is amazing and very non-standard. The only way for the coordinator to detect that it appeared before is by finding this exact problem, either from memory or by googling somehow. I participated in the original contest and it still took me time to remember where did I see it before, and that's only because from the standings I was sure that the problem must be "well-known in China".

Copying problems should be blamed a lot, I think. It's just a problem of credit!!!
