Nice
half of countries have totals less than the average Chinese competitor O_o
China yyds!
2 IOI_AKers!
There is no IOI_RUS team. They are "individuals under the IOI flag, and not under any national name, flag or symbols".
I think it was made so that people know which person came from where(because people might be interested with where they actually came from).
Does it bother you so much?
Yes. It does bother me. The Soviets used to use international achievements and the Olympics as propaganda. Each competition was a "special operation" against the Westerns. Modern Russia has the same ways. Russian IOI participants are not to blame for the current situation, however, the Russian state does not deserve to be represented by them.
:skull:
Yes, I agree that putting _RUS in a blog in codeforces will drive the russian propaganda forward and raise the ratings of putin leading to more devastation in ukraine
When can we ban China for invading Taiwan?
Ban Yemen too for housing Al-Queda
We must also ban Venezuela if they don't give us oil
Please, don't talk about politic issues here. When the fuck does China "invade" Taiwan? Oh you are from the US so no problem.
Seems not false.
Edit: origin comment
I'm proud of my country's ability to educate us about the right view of history. Downvoting is our right, and downvoting is correct (at least for some of the comments). If you have any misconceptions about this, get to know the real history (not some media propaganda).
the "right view" of history lol
I'm sure countries and their rulers have a very impartial view of history! Such education will certainly adhere to all facts and absolutely won't be used to subjungate the own population. Whenever the leader of a country had total control of children's education, has it ever led to anything but peace, love and happiness?
And, bonus, in the unlikely scenario that anything indeed does go wrong and the supreme leader suprisingly turns out to be a power-hungry narcissist obsessed with having total control over his population (who could have known!), I guess it will be really simple for the people to change the situation!
We understand the fact that the Chinese government has its problems. We are not as ignorant as you may think.
But, as a westerner, you should probably learn more about the modern Chinese history. We suffered too much from your imperialism. You guys don't know how many people were killed and how our interests being ignored. However, the world is changing. We'll never let this situation happen again.
This war has nothing to do with us. So please stop talking about China.
Ban the Israeli flag, they just bombed Palestine + Syria
Is Israel likely to use international competitions as propaganda? Is Russia likely to use international competitions as propaganda? What are country rankings for? (The contest is for individuals, not teams.) Why do we need such rankings?
So why Israel is there and Russia is not? Double standard?
Country rankings should have nothing to do with politics. Russia/Soviet Union has been using them to show the "greatness" of their system. I am sure that IOI doesn't want to serve as propaganda in the current situation.
this is nonsense. only communist regimes want to show their greatness. putin wants to show how good russia is? what a terrible joke!
also you did not tell me why israel is there
Because Israel is a participating country?
Can you, please, provide link (or any other proof) to the information where Russia/USSR uses this to show their, as you said, "greatness"?
Because what you say, sound more like bullshit.
dunno man, doesn't this look propagandistic enough? — and a science-related example
Lol, NO, IT DOESN'T. Isn't it absolutely ok to congratulate your country's winners? Doesn't your country president do the same? Or should we just ignore that our country mates won medals at Olympiad?
Or should I tell you that my country, Moldova, president congratulated our students with results at IMO, and there also is such post as you sent somewhere in internet, you can find it if you want.
So now, following your logic, we should ban Moldova from participating at IOI, or prohibit participating under Moldovan flag because
So I'm still waiting for real proofs of your words, but not just your own assumptions.
" I am interested in stories of successful people. Can you please tell us what qualities helped you achieve success? " "Mr President, what is the source of your inspiration?" I bet these are all authentic :)))
Bruh, even this is your own assumption,
Bro don't speak about propaganda because I saw what do westerns do in our countries . so just make sure to keep IOI safe from wars and other things , okay ? It is just a peaceful competition .
I realized that it is meaningless to argue with those westerners.Their logic is "I can beat you, you cannot beat me". They are all inherently racist and regard the people of color as animals/savages.
EU admits double standard in dealings regarding Palestine, Ukraine
Look, I pointed out that Israel should also be banned like Russia and got a lot of downvotes.
Best wishes to the Syrian people.

It's not necessarily the coach...
By the way, for a more extreme example, Greece got 79th place in IOI. In IMO, they got 26th.
you guys have coaches?
(Team leader)
ah lol. i rember when i was at tst the lessons were held by ROU_1 instead of "a coach/team leader"
while I don't really have context, let me just say that coaching is a different skill for the most part, cannot really be judged by CF rating.
Ukrainian Team Orz orz orz
Moldovan Team Orz orz orz SlavicG orz big great _Vanilla_
China only 2310 performance? Didn't they have 3 LGM?
This is not the performance, but the sum of four participants' scores. It's actually 2310/2400.
The Chinese team has 3 LGM, and so they got the top place.
Why LGM Ormlis got silver
because Codeforces contests and IOI have different formats
Shit happens
I think fact what Russians take part in the competition under International flag, proofs Putin's words: "границы России нигде не заканчиваются"(Russia's borders end nowhere). https://youtu.be/S75f65c8YT0
russia doesn’t take part though
Well, you can hate Russia as much as you want, but if russian students participate in IOI, Russia participates in IOI, however you/IOI committee wouldn't call this
Enjoy being offended
Weird logic... And if there is a USA citizen who participates in IOI for the USA, but they were born in Russia, does it also mean that Russia participates in IOI?
Lol, but russian participants represent Russia =)
Of course you can call them "IOI team", if it is comfortable for you. For me and for people who don't act like offended 13yo girl, Russia team is Russia team, independently from what it's called by respectable ioi committee
And yes, if there participates a team representing Russia at IOI, then Russia participates at IOI
Following simple logic, if USA citizen born in Russia participates at IOI, he represents USA, not Russia
Lol, but the IOI team are actually all citizens of the world =)
Of course you can call them "Russian citizens", if it is comfortable for you. For me and for people who don't act like offended
13yo16yo boy, world citizens are world citizens, independently from what they're called by respectable Russian FederationPlease change comment to "offended 16yo boy". I'm actually 16, so you can call me offended 16yo boy if you'll be happy with this ;)
Done!
:*
Lol, russia didn't reach top 10 in IOI
There are very impressive results, congratulations to all participants!
Since some people seem to be comparing nations, I just want to point out that goals and surrounding circumstances can vary a lot between countries (such as: focus on different competitions, high-school age, funding, etc.). Moreover, it is important to balance cp training and pupil's well-being, including giving these children time for other interests. From my personal IOI experience, countries that are less competitive tend to have very happy participants, which is most important.
So please let's view country scores as fun facts or general statistics without making this about national pride.
China orz orz 2 AK congratulation chinese for cp performance
I still haven't figured out what "orz orz" means, but just to be clear: Chinese participants are clearly extremely talented and can be very happy with their results!
To illustrate my original point with an example: Germany is, I think, pretty good in the (weird) Olympic discipline of bobsleigh. And it is very natural and cool to be like "wow, that's impressive". At the same time, nations shouldn't base their national pride on competing in bobsleigh. If a nation has fewer achievements there, perhaps that's simply because there are no mountains, less snow or different priorities. Bobsleigh results aren't really comparable. And the same holds true for IOI results.
Regarding what "orz orz" is: just look at the shape of "orz" as if it was a drawing of someone.
