As a student (in Pacific, ie UTC-7) who regularly attends classes, I find it incredibly hard to compete in CF rounds and improve rating during the school year. I'm basically limited to only weekend contests, which are very rare. To anyone in UTC-7 who manages to compete during the school year, what tricks do you use?

Same position but UTC-5.

I am in UTC+8, contests usually begin at 22:35 for me. They force me to stay up late.

For you, I recommend you to try virtual participation. But you won't get any rating. It's not good to give up classes.

I can always to VCs but I don't get the same pressure as compared to an actual contest. I guess it's what I'm stuck with? I don't want to skip classes either, but maybe I could talk to my teachers and schedule some time to be in the library and compete. Has anyone encountered/done this before?
