They may keep something in common with its next handle and with the previous one.
Observe the codeforces logo.
We just need to think about the fact that every handle colour is either smaller (lexicographically talking) than the previous and the next handle or bigger than those.

Master-Flesh Colour

Grandmaster-Light Red
International Grandmaster-Red
