I thought it would be very cool if codeforces had clans, and maybe even clan wars like clash royale or clash of clans. let me know if you agree.

there are already clan wars.

clans = teams

wars = gyms/contests

There are organizations which are almost exactly like clans, and you can change them in your profile. The only difference is that clans are generally private (in terms of getting into) and organizations are set in the profile so everyone can choose one of their liking or create an own one.

NO. Why would you transform Codeforces into a game? Aren't there enough games with clans for you to play?

    I think transforming CF into a more game-like platform can attract more people to competitive programming as well as improve our overall view of CP. CP should be considered more like fun games and puzzles rather than interview problems — we do not want a second Leetcode. Of course, by transforming CF into a game must not cause a drop in problem quality ;)

    It will be more fun inspiring people to solve more problems because they are having more fun doing so. Ex getting clan points for solving problems or something.

Hmm. There are already teams and stuff. I think making rated rounds for teams, and each team having a rating would be a good addition instead of making it much of a game. Also this would be useful for ICPC teams so that they can know their level compared to others through rating

This may go together with the idea of having more organizations linked to an account (I couldn't find the blogpost discussing this) should go well

expecting newbies to be extra toxic when they get carried by higher rated people in their clan (i speak from first hand experience) as if recent actions weren’t bad enough
