Why did you choose to go for the $$$-\infty$$$ rating route? What do you think your "real" rating would be?

When I first started dropping in rating, I did so knowing that I was going to author a contest, CodeTON round 3. I did it mostly for the funny comment section, maybe not expecting what I got because people obviously knew my rating was cap... but still funny to see "omg green round" comments.

After that, I wanted to become the lowest-rated user to ever author in a contest, so I gathered some of my friends and we created Codeforces round #875. Why negative? Because there were some unrated setters, so I theoretically had to go below zero. I'm not necessarily aiming for an infinitely negative rating, but sometimes I want to try some problems from contests, so I have to take last place every time to make sure I don't accidentally become positive. I'll probably change my color when I set the next round, but I have nothing planned so far.

About my "real" rating, I really don't know. I did a bunch of virtuals in the past, and I have no clue how accurate they are to today's meta.

Knowing tibinyte's real rating was in my bucket list. Thank you.

Hey, how to propose problems at -37 rating?

    How to propose problems?

I believe that generally it's a hard question to answer as everyone has different ways of getting inspiration.

My most common way so far was trying to rework existing problems and I think my best problems were created that way. It's obviously important that when doing such, the reworked problem doesn't have much to do with the existing problem.

And I generally recommend to not create problems starting off with a solution. I think Um_nik treated this subject very well in this blog ( last advice ). I agree that it's a good way to introduce yourself into problemsetting.

How to propose problems at -37 rating

Get -37 rating then do the above.

I think it's likely giving that I participate in some more rounds. But why -42 in particular?

Because it is the question to life, the universe, and everything. And since you are primarily a problem setter and not a solver, you should aim for -42 and not 42.

Your rating is negative, why not your contribution score too?

Because it's hilarious to say "I have -3 times more contribution than rating".

Will you prepare better and try to reach IOI maybe this year?

Preparing better, most likely yes. Instead of specifically aiming for certain achievements, I find it more enjoyable to allow them to naturally arise from dedicated training and effort.

But as a realistic response, I don't think I'll reach IOI this year unless I start kidnaping some people.

No, the root question was wrongly written. I believe he meant next year as this year's tst already concluded.

So I was referring to IOI 2024 and IOI 2025.

10 is a quite big number XD. From your second list I have watched HOTD and the Witcher. idk why people are hating on the new season. They both definitely deserve to be there. I tried Vikings but it felt lame, at least initially. Few more shows not mentioned before that I'd like to (not in any specific order):

          • Narcos (great overall package)

          • The wire (currently still watching it but seems nice)

          • Stranger things (my first show, will always have a special place in my heart)

          • black mirror (dystopian)

          • arcane

Tbh once you watch shows like breaking bad, bcs and got, your expectations shoot up a lot for you to enjoy most of the other shows.

In increasing order of importance:

  1. What are the best/worst problems you've ever solved?

  2. How can I convince you to stop trolling in contests?

  3. How many wins do you have on Fortnite?

    1) For the worst, without a doubt in my mind, the ultimate physics simulator, schi. For the best, refer to the previous comment.

    2) Convince Marshmello to do a face reveal and I'll do it.

    3) 116
