Hello Codeforces,
I do not recall the last time this topic was brought into discussion. After a quick scan, I noticed there are no blogs on recent actions mentioning this issue, so then I felt the need to make a blog about it.
I've noticed a (worrying) statistic that for plenty of recent contests (at least starting since Codeforces Round #901) problem ratings have not been updated. As such, I wanted to make a call for questioning as to ask whether anyone knows what the development of this process looks behind the scenes (i.e. why does it take so long). Or at least, how can discord bots predict the difficulty of each problem in any given contest (that had its system testing finalized) in less than 1 minute yet, for codeforces, the equivalent system takes more than a month to update (i.e. what do they do different).
I hope this blog reaches you well, dear reader, and it is in the least coherent,
Francisc
If you're anxious to know the ratings of problems you can always see them on clist. I hope Codeforces sorts itself soon though. I think this has always been slow.
For the 12 months I've been on CF I can't ever remember that there were more than 5 contests which didn't have problem ratings, and now it's up to 10 contests already...
I have seen blogs discussing this, the most recent one I remember is this one from 3 months ago. We had an almost-empty page just before this almost-empty page.
Never saw any proper response though.
Looks like they are getting updated now. Thanks.
After this blog, Problem ratings got updated. My silly mind wants to request u to say something about lack of contest in this month as the next do-able contest for me is on 25th of November.
