This weekend, we will host the 2nd Universal Cup Semifinal. Unlike with previous Universal Cup rounds, there will be exactly one window that all teams will participate in. This window will be from 5pm to 10pm UTC+8 on Sunday, June 23rd. Note that this window is after the onsite version.
Any Universal Cup registered team can participate. If you are new here, please register following the instructions on Registration.
Besides competing to advance to the Universal Cup Finals, sponsored by Huawei, we have also prepared prizes for teams in the top 10 (excluding onsite teams in the Summer Summit) . The prize details are as follows (may be replaced by products of similar value):
Online Rank | Prize for each team member (at most 3) |
---|---|
Champion (Rank 1) | HUAWEI WATCH GT 4 (46mm) Spruce Green |
First Prize (Rank 2 — 3) | HUAWEI FreeClip |
Second Prize (Rank 4 — 10) | HUAWEI Band 9 |
After the online semifinal, we will host a stream of all onsite teams competing in the Semifinal at the Summer Summit event in Cancun, along with problem analysis. The stream will start immediately after the end of the online version at 10pm (UTC +8) and end at 3am (UTC +8). We will run livestreams in English and in Chinese as follows:

USA1 will win the semifinal
USA1 will win, Gennady tourist Korotkevich orz
orzdevinwang will beat tourist.
orzdevinwang will win the semifinal!
The competiton between USA1 and 03 Slimes will be interesting. Who do you think will win?
A list of all onsite teams' Codeforces handles can be found here.
orz jiangly. Im so big fan I have even learnt his coding style (only the style lol).
I love how he uses his mathematical manipulation ability so well and smoothly.
it is he
I'm cheering on Polish Mafia, but it may as well just be hopium because of how stacked some of the other teams are.
Thanks for believing in us! We indeed didn't win, but we have a good amount of typical Swistakk's copium instead! It seems we were the only team close to getting 10 problems as my B lacked just one fix (3 characters) to be accepted and Marcin needed <10 mins in upsolving to fix his F. But copium stays copium only :,)
What is the difficulty of the problems and what is the difference between onsite and online participation?
The same problem set will be used for both online and onsite participation.
And what is the difficulty of it?
As a friend of one of the testers,I think it's extremely hard.
and what about the regular rounds?
Please don’t spread misinformation. We spent efforts to balance the contest’s overall difficulties, so that teams of all levels will have suitable problems to work on during the contest, which is usually the case for the normal unicup contest.
are the rounds based of icpc from the countries?
The semifinal is a new contest proposed by us.
Gennady Kerotkevich Orz
Which team is jiangly on? I am his fan.
What an exciting piece of news!
Do regular universal cup rounds have an onsite possibility?
There are slots fr teams with good overall season ratings.
I'm taking an interested in when and where the editorial will be provided.
It will be published in a few days. Now feel free to ask and discuss in the discord server.
How is going with editorial? Maybe you have draft pdf with ideas of solutions that you can release before contest results reports are put together?
Also I'm wondering if editorial for latest stage 3 is planned.
Also because we want to put contest result reports together, which might takes more time to compile.
