Hey! Wanted to bring to you all the Third MathDash Olympiad Contest! — Rated (and with a new Proof rating!)

Lower Division Contest: Join here

Upper Division Contest: Join here

You may only do one of these — but can choose which one you wish to do!

Proof-based competition: Solve and prove each question.

Problem difficulties: Upper division is meant for participants training for their national math olympiads, or the IMO. Lower division is meant for those newer to olympiad math. The last three problems in lower are the first three problems in upper.

Point values: 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 for each division. Score formula: round(point value * your score out of 7 * 1/7).

Time limit: 120 minutes for 5 problems.

Rated contest: Only the problems you open will affect your rating. Ratings depend on your score, your current rating, and the problem's rating (determined by solvers' ratings).

Grading: Submissions graded ASAP (likely after the round). You can resubmit if graded during the contest.

Regrade policy: Dispute scores in the post-contest discussion chat. Grading is at our discretion.

Good luck and happy solving!

(The second olympiad, if you are interested, can be found here: Olympiad 2 — which also has links to problems 2 through 8)
